What is Jazz, Baby? | ||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() |
Top Los Angeles musicians, including arranger Cengiz Yaltkaya, (Atlantic Records, Sesame Street) and singer Carmen Twille (The Lion King, original soundtrack) turned their talents to classic children's nursery rhymes to produce the swingingest jazz versions of 18 old favorites. The kids will love it as much as the adults - or is it the other way around? Kids’ music should be as smart and full of quality as children can grow to be. Brain expanding arrangements of familiar lyrics and melodies get the kids singing and dancing along, while opening up the world of music, and the world of jazz. Featuring Broadway star June Angela (Tony Award Nominee, Grammy Award Winner, The Electric Company), Sweet Baby J'ai, Steve Blackwood, (Days of Our Lives, The Heidi Chronicles) and Carlton Godwin.

What is Flying South Productions?
| We are a small production
company dedicated to high quality music and video products. After
producing several straight ahead jazz CDs we produced a couple of baby
boys. It was then we discovered there was very little music available that
we could share with our children. Adult music was too sophisticated for
the kids, and children's music was too annoying for the adults. So we made
Jazz, Baby, high quality music you can share with your children.
Flying South President and principal producer, Lisa Beth Kovetz, has several other children's products in the works. Vice President Gerald Crane, has had an expansive career in the field of higher education. Vice President Beverly Crane, also works as a producer for CUNY-TV.
